Heading on a short trip tomorrow
It is Lynda's last week with us and we plan to explore this area with our Mexican neighbor. He knows of an authentic Mexican town with hotsprings on the border of Jalisco and Nayarit. I think the town is called Amatlan de Canas. We have the car packed and look forward to a couple of days seeing more of this area and staying at a little cheap hotel where we can enjoy the warm waters and sites.
Ivan's Kindle crashed 12 days ago and he was a very unhappy soul until I remembered my Spanish teacher's brother was coming here from Arizona. Ivan managed to call Amazon and they couriered his new Kindle to Paul. The mail and courier services to Mexico are not reliable so this was very lucky. He is happily getting his NY Times daily and once again has all the books he downloaded on the most modern version.
Our balcony herb garden and rose garden are doing well. I am experimenting with my new silk paints when there is time. Ivan has been making feasts of all kinds for our friends and neighbors. We are all reading nonstop and loving the luxury of time and sunshine. Lynda and I have been faithfully attending the morning wild woman dancing at the clubhouse. We are trying to figure out how to transfer that part of life to our routines in Gibsons? We have a few ideas, but our scouting takes precedence and the wilderness of BC awaits us. We both look forward to finding new trails this spring, as well as making sure we can still find the lakes we found last season.
More photos to come once we see the surroundings en route to Nayarit.
Hope everyone is well and having a good winter.
Viaje bien
