I just discovered ROCA AZUL IS A BIRDER'S PARADISE - MARCH 2016

Cristie has been observing our local birds in the early mornings and just before sunset.
She encountered a woman who is also a birder and just sent these wonderful photos of many birds they both saw and a few that I saw! These terrific photos were taken by Angela Conry.

Gray Blue Gnat Catcher, very common, charming and flutters about in the mornings and evenings.

House Finch, very common in Roca Azul, sings beautifully

Female Streak Backed Oriole

White Tailed Kite - This is a small fast bird of prey, elegant in flight and seen around sunrise and sunset near the lighthouse at Roca Azul.

A Western Tanager

Blue MockingBird, this is a rarely seen bird with a beautiful singing voice.
Vermillon Fly Catcher, quite common in Jalisco (Jocotepec) Mexico. The brilliant tropical orange colour is striking and this bird can be seen at many times during the day in Roca Azul.
