Last night Ivan made a delicious dinner for some of our favourite people. Alberto and Nati (dark hair) are our Mexican neighbors. Each year Alberto takes us on one or two tours of mysterious and hidden places not far from here (like Amatlan de Canas). He has lived in this area all his life and is a painter. He is mischievous, has a love of life that is contagious and shares our political ideas. In fact he is passionate about change and outraged and saddened by what goes on in his own country.
Ken and Kris (harmonica and braid) have also offered us guidance since our arrival three years ago. (They spend most winters in Mexico) Ken is a musician and Kris is an enthusiastic compassionate and wonderful human being (so is Ken). (they are from Calif.) Kris is my floating partner. We excel at taking up lots of space in the pool on our air mattresses when not dancing, exercising or chatting. Mexico has expanded our horizon in so many ways.
