Day to Day Life in Jocotepec Mexico, Year 8 - Feb 2016

Ivan's delicious onion soup!
The bras at the Thursday market are so colourful, they cry out to be photgraphed!

The bean shop, an important staple in Mexico. So many colours and different kinds of beans! So cheap and so healthy.
And cactus is a vegetable they love here. It's cut up like green beans and tastes great.

This is a wall painting on one of the main streets in Jocotepec. I find it very moving. A real statement.
The Thursday Tianguis is always festive, it's impossible not to find a treasure for just pennies! (well pesos)
The streets of Jocotepec are always decorated with colourful cut out papers that go from one side to the other. These decorative strands flap in the wind and create a playful feeling;

Painting silk has become a passion, messy, exuberant but much easier to do here as it dries so fast. I am working on some Crepe de Chine for my ETSY site.
